Stagebot / Crew

The crew

The people who show up

A small, tight crew of four, plus IATSE Local 278 hands when the show gets big. Here is who you will meet on show day.

Stage lead · Driver-operator

Barbie Canada

Barbie is one of our three certified driver-operators, and most shows she's the stage lead.

She's proud of this work and it shows. She tows Jolene in, sets the outriggers, raises the roof, and makes sure the stage is up and ready on time. If you have a question about your stage, start with Barbie.

Audio engineer · Production

Chris Canada

Stagebot started with Chris and a serious addiction to production gear.

They owned a large recording studio in Myrtle Beach, SC, was the house engineer at House of Blues Myrtle Beach, and toured with national acts. They studied acoustics, engineering, and entertainment business and licensing at Berklee College of Music. Thousands of shows later, they're usually behind the console on show day, or under the stage with a level.

Stage techs & partners

Local crew, every show

Stagebot is a crew of four. For bigger calls we partner with IATSE Local 278 out of Asheville, so the load-in and load-out get professional union hands when the show needs them.
